About Nagzira Navegaon Tiger Reserve:

The Nagzira Navegaon Tiger Reserve is a miraculously preserved “Green Oasis” in the eastern most part of the Maharashtra State and has a great importance from bio-diversity conservation point of view. This newly declared tiger reserve is locked in the arms of nature and adorned with picturesque landscapes, luxuriant vegetation and serves as living outdoor museum to explore and appreciate nature. It is home of many endangered species. The vertebrate fauna includes, besides a number of fishes, about 34 species of mammals, about 166 species of birds including migratory land and water birds, about 36 species of reptiles and about 4 species of amphibian. This reserve is notable for its wealth of birds and is indeed a bird watcher’s paradise. Nearly 34 – species of mammal belonging to about 8 natural orders and 16 families are seen in this reserve, out of which about 14 species are of endangered status, namely Tiger, Leopard, Jungle Cat, Small Indian Civet, Palm Civet, wolf, Jackal, Sloth Bear, Ratel, Common Giant Flying Squirrel, Gaur, Four Horned Antelope, Mouse Deer, Pangolin.

I do privately organised tours so if you are a family or a group of friends who wants to visit Nagzira Navegaon Tiger Reserve, I can plan it for you. The minimum participants should be 5 or in multiples of 5 to make it cost effective.

WHAT IS THE BEST TIME TO VISIT NAGZIRA?

Nagzira remains close from 16th June till 30th September (3.5 months) due to monsoon season. The park reopens on 1st October & then remains open till 15th June (8.5 months).

October till January is usually a winter time here & whole jungle looks lush green. This is one of the recommended time to click best wildlife photographs.

Season changes from February as temperature starts rising in central India. So February till June end is hot summer season where the chances of sighting a tiger & other mammals becomes more easy due to lack of water.

Nagzira has specific number of safari vehicles & forest cottages. These safaris are available for booking 120 days prior. I highly recommend my guests to plan Nagzira Tour minimum 60 days prior to get confirm safari permits. Unlike other leisure holiday destinations, it is not possible to get bookings at Nagzira at very last moment.

Standard Plan: 2 Nights / 3 Days Program (4 Safaris):

Day 1: Arrive at Nagpur Airport / Railway Station by 9AM. After a quick breakfast, we proceed to Nagzira by private AC vehicle. Post lunch, we proceed to our 1^st safari. Interactive orientation session on the habitat of Nagzira & the important points to consider during our next safaris. (Meals: Lunch, Evening Tea & Dinner)

Day 2: Explore different parts of Nagzira on morning and evening safaris. A knowledge – sharing session within the group in the evening, to know more about the wildlife seen during the safaris. Overnight stay at Nagzira. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Evening Tea & Dinner)

Day 3: We go on a morning safari to explore the enchanting forest one final time! After lunch (optional) we would be moving back to Nagpur by 2pm. You can take any Train/Flight departing Nagpur after 6 pm. (Meals: Breakfast)

Premium Plan: 3 Nights / 4 Days Program (6 Safaris):

Day 2 & 3: Explore different parts of Nagzira on morning and evening safaris. A knowledge – sharing session within the group in the evening, to know more about the wildlife seen during the safaris. Overnight stay at Nagzira. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Evening Tea & Dinner)

Day 4: We go on a morning safari to explore the enchanting forest one final time! After lunch (optional) we would be moving back to Nagpur by 2pm. You can take any Train/Flight departing Nagpur after 6 pm. (Meals: Breakfast)

WHAT ARE THE REGULAR CHARGES OF TOURS?

13,500 INR per Person for Standard Plan (Ex. Nagpur, 4 Safaris, Minimum 5 Participants)

17,500 INR per Person for Premium Plan (Ex. Nagpur,6 Safaris, Minimum 5 Participants)

Upgrade to twin sharing basis at an additional cost of 1000 INR per person for Standard plan and 1500 INR per person for Premium plan

Note: Safari on 2 or 4 person sharing basis is available on request at an extra cost.
