Its position was further upgraded to a national park in 1955.

Tour Dates:

I do privately organised tours so if you are a family or a group of friends who wants to visit Kanha, I can plan it for you. The minimum participants should be 5 or in multiples of 5 to make it cost effective.

What is the best time to Visit Kanha?

Kanha remains close from  1st July till 15th October (3.5 months) due to monsoon season. The park reopens on 15th October & then remains open till 30th June (8.5 months).

October till January is usually a winter time here & whole jungle looks lush green. This is one of the recommended time to click best wildlife photographs.

Season changes from February as temperature starts rising in central India. So February till June end is summer season where the chances of sighting a tiger & other mammals becomes more easy due to lack of water.

Kanha has specific number of safari vehicles from each entry gate. These safaris are available for booking 120 days prior. Due to popularity amongst wildlife lovers across the world, these safaris get sold out within no time. So I highly recommend my guests to plan Kanha Tour minimum 90 days prior to get confirm safari permits. Unlike other leisure holiday destinations, it is not possible to get bookings at Kanha at last moment.
