ABOUT KANHA TIGER RESERVE, Madhya Pradesh, India:

Kanha is nestled in the Maikal range of Satpuras in Madhya Pradesh, the heart of India that forms the central Indian highlands.The national park is being popularised as the Tiger reserve and interestingly is being declared as one of the finest wildlife areas in the world. Spreading across two revenue districts the Mandala and the Kalaghat, Kanha National Park was declared a reserve forest in 1879 and revalued as a wildlife sanctuary in 1933. Its position was further upgraded to a national park in 1955. The Kanha National Park is spread across the area of 940 sq km in the Maikal chain of hills. By bringing up the buffer and core zone all together, the Kanha Tiger Reserve has the total area of 1945 sq km.

The landscapes and the surrounding luxurious meadows along with the wooded strands and the dense maroons of forests offer magnanimous sightseeing experiences for the nature lovers. Making the land more beautiful and adorable, the crystal clear streams amidst the dense jungle cleanses the surroundings and makes the wildlife unrivalled. This vivacious land has been the source of inspiration for Rudyard Kipling, a famous writer for his outstanding creation- “The Jungle Book”.

The Kanha National Park is the ideal home for wide ranges of wild creatures; right from the mighty tigers to the most populated Barasingha and the countless species of plants, birds, reptiles and insects. This reserve has fascinated many travellers around the corners of the world with its well developed infrastructure specially meant for them. The best location here to enjoy the most is the Bammi Dadar, also known as the Sunset Point.


ABOUT BANDHAVGARH TIGER RESERVE, Madhya Pradesh, India:

Bandhavgarh is the most popular tiger reserve in India & is located in the Vindhya Hills of the Umaria district in Madhya Pradesh. Declared as a national park in 1968 the Bandhavgarh is spread across the area of 105 km². The name Bandhavgarh has been derived from the most prominent hillock of the area of Umaria. The area of Bandhavgarh is being flourished with a large biodiversity, the place which is also being famed to grip highest density of tiger population in India. Similarly, the park also beholds the largest breeding population of leopards and various species of deer. Over the years, the park has shown a great number of increases in the count of the tiger species and this is the reason why tiger tours is so famed to attract large amount of tourists at its vicinity.

Bandhavgarh consists of mixed vegetation ranging from tall grasslands to thick Sal forest and so is the perfect habitat of variety of animals and birds. Due to varied topography, the Bandhavgarh provides ample opportunity to spot the majestic Indian tiger and some rarely seen animals like leopard and sloth bear. Due to high wildlife sighting it is becoming popular amongst tourists visiting India.

WHAT IS THE BEST TIME TO VISIT KANHA & Bandhavgarh?

Kanha & Bandhavgarh both remains close from  1st July till 15th October (3.5 months) due to monsoon season. The park reopens on 15th October & then remains open till 30th June (8.5 months).

October till January is usually a winter time here & whole jungle looks lush green. This is one of the recommended time to click best wildlife photographs.

Season changes from February as temperature starts rising in central India. So February till June end is summer season where the chances of sighting a tiger & other mammals becomes easier due to lack of water.

Both Kanha & Bandhavgarh has specific number of safari vehicles from each forest entry gate each day. These safaris are available for booking 120 days prior. Due to popularity amongst wildlife lovers across the world, these safaris get sold out within no time. So I highly recommend my guests to plan this Tiger Tales Tour to Kanha & Bandhavgarh minimum 90 days prior to get confirm safari permits. Unlike other leisure holiday destinations, it is not possible to get bookings at Kanha & Bandhavgarh at last moment.


TOUR PLAN: 8 NIGHTS / 9 DAYS PROGRAM (6 SAFARIS IN Kanha & 5 SAFARIS IN Bandhavgarh):

Day 1: Arrive at Delhi Airport. You will be received by our Delhi representative & will be transferred to the hotel for leisure time. (Meals: Evening Tea & Dinner | Stay: Delhi)

Day 2: After breakfast early morning, You will take flight to Nagpur (1 Hour 35 Mins). You will be transferred to Kanha by road transfer (4 Hours Drive). Post lunch, we proceed to our 1st safari. Interactive orientation session on the habitat of Kanha & the important points to consider during our next safaris. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Evening Tea & Dinner | Stay: Kanha)

Day 3 & 4: Explore different parts of Kanha on morning and evening safaris. A knowledge – sharing session within the group in the evening, to know more about the wildlife seen during the safaris. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Evening Tea & Dinner | Stay: Kanha)

Day 5: We go on a morning safari to explore the enchanting Kanha forest one final time!  After lunch we would be moving  to Bandhavgarh by 1pm. We reach Bandhavgarh by evening 6pm.  Evening will be spend at your leisure (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Evening Tea & Dinner | Stay: Bandhavgarh)

Day 6 & 7: Explore different parts of Bandhavgarh on morning and evening safaris. A knowledge – sharing session within the group in the evening, to know more about the wildlife seen during the safaris. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Evening Tea & Dinner | Stay: Bandhavgarh)

Day 8: We go on a morning safari to explore the enchanting Bandhavgarh forest one final time!  Here we check out from Bandhavgarh by 11AM to reach Jabalpur airport by 2.30PM. You board flight to Delhi by 4PM and reach Delhi for overnight stay. This day, packed lunch will be provided (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Evening Tea & Dinner | Stay: Delhi)

Day 9: You will be transferred to airport as per your International flight timings (Meals: Breakfast)
